Actions we can take on our own:

1. Don’t let a motor vehicle’s engine idle while parked

2. Compost food waste—to reduce methane emissions

3. Vote—more climate realists are needed in office

4. Plant a tree—if you have a bit of space

5. Airline Carbon Offset. If you travel by airline, support their carbon offset program. Most airlines now have projects to offset carbon emissions and you can offset your own share by agreeing to pay a very few dollars more for the service.

6. Go electric when you can. If you have the income to allow, go all-electric or hybrid for ground transportation and if the choice comes up, go for an electric stove.
